Where appropriate, we liaise with your GP, sports physician, specialist, trainer or coach to ensure coordinated care.
Do I need a referral?
No referral is required. Physiotherapists are primary contact practitioners, meaning you can book directly with us.
A GP referral is only required if:

Is parking available?
If I have a niggle, is it better to get a Physio assessment or wait til it gets better?
Usually the quicker you get onto these niggles the easier they are to treat, if you let it go and it turns into a chronic injury the management is more complex and recovery is prolonged.
Can Physio’s refer for a scan if required?
Yes, physiotherapists can refer for imaging such as X-rays and MRI when clinically indicated.
Scans are only recommended when necessary — many injuries do not require imaging.
Does private health cover pilates?
Yes — because our classes are physiotherapist-run and individually prescribed, they are claimable under the physiotherapy group exercise code (depending on your extras cover).
Can I claim physio through Medicare?
Yes, if you have a Chronic Disease Management (CDM) plan from your GP. Medicare may cover part of the cost for up to 5 allied health visits per year.
Is Clinical Pilates suitable for all ages?
Yes. It is low-impact, safe and tailored to your age, fitness level and goals.
