Ashlee Woodward

Ashlee graduated from LaTrobe University in 2011. Since graduating she has worked in Private practice. Where she has further developed her strong interest in sports and spinal injuries, postoperative rehabilitation and repetitive work practice injuries. Ashlee has undergone several postgraduate training programs, including; Dry needling, Mulligans concept of manual therapy and level 1-4 DMA Clinical Pilates.

Ashlee states… “The best part of my job is getting to meet and build rapport with patients from all walks of life. From young children, to the pregnant female, to the office worker to the aging population. Every patient that walks through the door has individual wants and needs, so developing a well rounded treatment plan that suits each specific patient is a exciting challenge for me.”

Ashlee was an elite gymnast, training 33 hours a week. She has represented Australia as a senior gymnast at several international competitions. Due to the rigorous workload Ashlee came to rely on physiotherapy to keep her fit and strong to be able to compete at an elite level. As a frequent recipient of physiotherapy treatment and experiencing the frustration and pain of injury she can relate to what her patients may be experiencing.

Ashlee has used her experience with both spinal and sports conditions to follow her passion in Clinical Pilates as well as strength, and rehab training. Having experienced the great many benefits from Pilates in her own sporting career, Ashlee is passionate about teaching the benefits of Clinical Pilates for fitness and injury rehabilitation.

Ashlee is a Mum of a 3 year old girl, and soon to be (goes on mat leave in Nov 2022) a mum of two, so she also understands the aches and pains related to a pre and postpartum body. She loves helping expecting Mum’s stay fit and strong throughout their pregnancy journey and nothing gives her more joy then to see her patients return after giving birth to help them regain their strength back so her patients can run around after their kids in years to come.
